If a cigar burns unevenly, with one part of the cigar or wrapper burning quicker than the oth-er, it can often be corrected by applying a little fire to the slow burning side. This process is called a ‘touch up’. Touch ups are easy when using a torch lighter because its heat is extreme and precise. When touching up, use minimal doses of fire to avoid charring the wrapper. Touch up a cigar if it starts to burn askew: some oily or dense wrappers may need correcting - it is not a sign of poor quality, just a fact of life.
