    Colibri Is Back!

Colibri is officially back in business, honoring warrantees and selling products. This should be good news to retail tobacconists and consumers who have been wondering what might become of their lighters... The new owner of Colibri is called CST Enterprises. You can reach Colibri at their old number (800 556 7354) and send repairs to the same old address.... check out the Butane Lighter FAQ if you need more info.

I wonder how many shops will continue to carry them under new ownership. As a new shop would anyone recommend that I do? My personal experience with them has not been great.

  3. I don't (didn't) carry Colibri. Their customer service was poor. We'll see how the new owners develop, but it will be a long time before I am a supporter!

on the bright side, they just swapped out all the old product in my stores for new product... a step in the right direction...

  5. Colibri

Having spoken to the management group and met the owners, I can say this much that I feel comfortable with.
Management is serious about making a change to bring Colibri back to a leadership roll in cutters and lighters.
Management is no longer distracted by running too many businesses.
The new owners are serious about making a profit, best way to do that is to provide a quality product at an acceptable price.
I have a new Colibri lighter that I prefer over 4 other lighters as it always lights more reliably. Just my experience, not a scientific study.
